Dateline: December 13, 2024 - The Town of Essex will hold a Special Meeting on December 30th 2024 at 6:30PM at Essex Town Hall, 2313 Main Street, Essex for the purposes of closing out the fiscal year and attending to any additional business before the Town Council. Snow date for the meeting: December 31st, 2024 @ 9AM at Essex Town Hall.

Dateline: November 26, 2024 - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bids are sought by the TOWN OF ESSEX to remove existing insulation and install new spray foam insulation equal to or greater than R-10 (prefer improving the ceiling to R-38 and walls to R-19) for a Highway Breakroom building and a Highway Garage building located at 1854 NYS Route 22 in Essex, New York.
Sealed bids shall be submitted to the Town of Essex, PO Box 355, Essex, NY 12936 on or before December 27, 2024 at 3:00PM. The bids will be publicly opened and discussed on December 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. Bids may be awarded at that time or at a subsequent Town Board meeting. We invite interested parties to visit the address above to view the scope of the work before submitting a bid. Visitation can take place between 6am and 2pm Mondays through Fridays. The project is being funded by a 2024 Community Smart Growth Grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The Town of Essex is an equal opportunity employer and qualified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs), and certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs) are encouraged to submit responses to this request. Proposals are due by 2:00pm on December 30, 2024.

· Highway Superintendent - $46,986.00
Dateline: August 20, 2024 - Please take notice that the Essex Town Assessors will be participating in a mandatory revaluation. This happens every 3 years. The Assessors and County Data Collectors will be visiting each home in the town.
