Welcome Kiosk at Ferry Landing Parking Lot
COMPLETED
November 2024 - Aside from a few small punch list items, this project is now complete. The Town will look to add landscaping to this area in an overall redevelopment of the parking lot in 2025/2026. The Town will seek public input on what they wish to see in this parking lot and then, with the help of a landscape architect, design it and build it to meet the needs of the community.
August 21, 2024 - The Town learned today that the kiosk is complete, but the contractor is waiting on the “Welcome to Essex, NY lettering to arrive. Once that arrives, it will be affixed to the kiosk and will be installed onto the concrete pad. The Town will host a grand unveiling of this project once it is installed and completed.
June 28, 2024 - Progress is being made as site work prep takes place. The pouring of concrete is slated to take place on July 1.
May 22, 2024 - At their May 2024 board meeting, the Town Council selected John W. Sheehan and Sons, Inc of Willsboro to construct the kiosk and foundational pad at a total amount not to exceed $28,440.000.
