UPDATE May 22, 2024 - Please pardon our appearance at the Essex/Willsboro Transfer Station. Aside from our updates to our water runoff and culvert replacements (great job Essex Highway!), we are now beginning the work to construct a permanent shelter for our recycling area. If you’re headed to the Transfer Station this week, please be mindful of the ongoing construction. Thank you!
UPDATE May 14, 2024 - The Town has been informed that work will begin on this project on Tuesday, May 21st. We will work with the contractor to ensure complete safety for those visiting the Transfer Station during normal business hours.
UPDATE April 12, 2024 - The Town has selected John W. Sheehan and Sons, Inc. of Willsboro at a total cost not to exceed $39,244.00 for this project. We will provide further updates here as the project gets underway.
UPDATE April 4, 2024 - Interested bidders are invited to review the PDF Addendum for slight modifications to the overall plans as it relates to site restoration and repaving.
Project outcome: To build a pole barn structure to provide year-round shelter from sun and precipitation for the recycling attendant and customers.
